If I could write to anyone,
I'd write to the me who dressed to be liked, spoke to be accepted , and stayed quiet just to belong.
I remember the day I wore what I loved.
Another day, I said no to leading a team.
Both times, I shook but I also soared.
I thought being agreeable kept me safe.
But losing myself ? That was the real danger.
So i'd write this to you:
You don't need permission to be you.
Pause. Breathe. Ask God.
