If I could write to anyone, I’d write to the little girl I once was—curious, bright, and beautifully unaware of hurt. She learned pain not from the world, but from the ones meant to protect her. Scolded for stumbles, punished for innocence, she began to feel like a burden—an unwanted mistake in a story she didn’t ask to be part of. Home was never safe; joy lived outside its walls. And every return felt like burying light, waiting for the next escape to feel alive again. To her, I say: you were never the problem.
